A rare and exciting blend of the lesser known 943 clone of Pinot Noir, newcomer to the Willamette Valley and the wine industry as a whole. Known for inconsistent cluster shape, berry size, and limited yields, 943 can be both concentrated and elegant - almost forcefully delicate. Three vineyards were blended to highlight effusive aromas of ripe, red fruits, floral rose and lilac, with hints of vanilla and cigar box spice. Fresh cherry and tart pomegranate flavors meld with a medium weight palate of juicy acid and young, luscious tannins. With a moderate use of 15% new oak, Pinot Noir and 943 personality are front and center for a refreshingly transparent and fruit driven style. Balance and integration show throughout carrying into an elegant and finesse driven medium-long finish.
